STEWART MIDDLEMAS

Stewart was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne.  

He attended Newcastle College of Art and Design where he studied photography.  He worked in the UK and South Africa as a Lithographic Planner before moving to Cornwall in 1986.

After a further spell in the printing trade.  Stewart decided on a career change and inspired by the beautiful harbours and the pretty seaside villages of West Cornwall, began painting professionally.  

His work reflects his lifelong affinity with boats and the sea.   His paintings and limited edition prints are now sold very successfully through several galleries in Cornwall, Devon and Northumberland.  

He also undertakes private commissions for his work.

Stewart is married with one son.
