Harry Roberts

at the Joel Gallery, Cornwall

Harry was born in Cornwall in the UK.   A beautiful corner of England that has been home to many artists over the years.

Since graduating from Falmouth School of Art and Design in 1991, Harry has worked as a freelance artist, designer and taught Art/Design and Technology in mainstream education for the past 27 years.   He believes that art and design can have a profound effect on our emotions.  It can make us feel happy, sad, at peace and excited.  It provokes people to engage with the subject and ultimately can be whatever the person needs it to be.

Harry uses many different media such as acrylics, watercolour, and mixed media.  He believes that working in a single medium is restrictive to his artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

From industrial design to expressive artworks, having access to the appropriate medium at the right time is essential to successful art.
